What factors affect the quality of black mothers?

A product in the process of production will have many factors affecting the quality of the final product, whether it is machinery or what we eat, or in daily use. Naturally, our color masterbatch is the same. There are many factors that affect its quality in the process. Today we will learn what factors affect the quality of black masterbatch.

Dispersion: Raw carbon black is a very difficult and dirty mixture, which is covered with dust, light weight and fluffy. Unless large-scale measures are taken, it will dirty the machines and workers and make the working environment dirty.

Rheological property: If a masterbatch itself has good dispersion, but it can not flow into the material to be molded, the effect of production is not ideal. Generally speaking, the base resin used to produce color masterbatch has high rheological properties. In order to save cost, some color masterbatch manufacturers use reusable materials, waste or recycled materials as resin carriers.

Compatibility: If the masterbatch is produced from chips or recycled materials, it may contain contaminants or other non-melting polymers. This will cause some unpredictable and difficult constraints, waste the time and raw materials of the final consumer. At this time, the base resin can be used to produce high quality color masterbatches, which have good compatibility in the melting process. High quality masterbatches can be produced with LLDPE, LDPE, HDPE, PP, PS, SAN, PA and other materials.

4. Stability: In today's international economy, it is absolutely necessary for international customers to have high requirements on the quality of color masterbatches and the stability of raw materials, which is also the fifth factor determining the quality of black masterbatches. One of the main manifestations of stability is a stable carbon black ratio. If the percentage of carbon black fluctuates, the number of masterbatches needed to melt varies, and it is impossible to produce the same tone.

Coverage: This factor is particularly important for masterbatches used in waste or recycled polymers. In these cases, the role of black is to cover other colors in waste. Large particles of carbon black have poor coloring ability and are not easy to cover all the other lower colors. As a result, the final product only gets the deviated colors. In the melting process, the so-called coverage is the ability to correctly choose carbon black with high coloring ability to cover existing colors.

6. Colour brightness: There are various types of carbon black on the market which can be used for colouring masterbatches, but the colours and prices are also very different. Large particle carbon black has lower colority and different background color than small particle carbon black.
